Ads of the Day: Santa Forgets and Cup Noodle

Another Christmas ad today, but this one is a lot bleaker and comes with a heap of humility. Definitely not a story that any child, or any adult for that matter would want to imagine; Alzheimer’s Research UK have painted a picture of a world in which Santa has forgotten himself. It’s a hard hitting dramatisation, executed in simple animation, highlighting the fact that Alzheimer’s doesn’t discriminate. I make it a point to only cry at movies/TV shows/ads that involve dogs dying but I have to say this one certainly made my eyes well up just the tiniest bit. I think it was Stephen Fry’s narration that did it!



Second up is the much cheerier and off-kilter offering from Japan’s ever popular Cup Noodle. “How do we make instant noodles interesting?” Let’s take a bunch of world class extreme sport enthusiasts and dress them up like Samurais and let them loose in public places. Perfect! Great piece of content that you’ll want to watch again and again.
